Agrivoltaic Design Studio

Serida was born in a Cornell University engineering lab, based on scientific agrivoltaic research.

Serida is on a mission to de-risk and streamline agrivoltaics.

Our Mission

Agrivoltaics is the co-location of solar energy and agriculture. The biggest challenge in the solar industry is project delay and cancellation due to misaligned stakeholders. The industry is looking to agrivoltaics as an answer.

Supported by the NYSERDA and DOE, our technology is developed alongside Cornell experts in crop science, soil health, and hydrology. Industry partners were engaged from the very beginning, and they are now becoming our early adopters.

Agrivoltaic Design Studio

Our proprietary agrivoltaic design tool is specifically engineered to empower solar developers with advanced capabilities for optimizing site deployment and crop selection.

Our software enables users to maximize the efficiency of agrivoltaic systems, enhancing energy production and agricultural output. It will streamline the project evaluation process and promote responsible agrivoltaics, paving the way for sustainable integration of solar energy with agricultural development.

Why agrivoltaics?

Combine solar energy production with crop growth doubles land use efficiency

Dual land use for increased efficiency

Increase revenue streams for farmers from crop production and energy generation

Economic benefit for the rural community

Preserve food from agricultural production, crucial for sustaining food security

Preserving crop production

Explore untapped suitable land for solar installations, expand renewable capacity

Multiplied clean energy deployment

“Serida makes agrivoltaic planning more approachable and efficient. It allows us to precisely balance solar generation with agricultural needs, reducing guesswork like no other tools can on the market.”
